Adam Moorhouse joins the contract research and manufacturing organisation as a Director of Business Development and will be responsible for developing new prospects for the UK-based company is Western USA.

30-year-old Adam is the latest high-profile appointment for Onyx Scientific after the company recruited Chicago-based commercial executive Dan Brisard to oversee its business development activities across the eastern half of the US in November.

With a first class degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Organic Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, Adam brings impressive technical knowledge to his new role.

Adam joins the CRO following two years working in international business development and account management for a UK-based laboratory instrument manufacturer.

An experienced commercial executive, Dan has worked across the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector for around fifteen years including seven years with Ricerca Bioscience.

A graduate in Chemistry from the University of Illinois and in Analytical Chemistry from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Dan also brings technical knowhow to his new role that will assist the company’s US-based pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

The contract manufacturing organisation (CMO) has struck-up a strategic alliance with UK-based Reach Separations, which will allow it to deliver more specialist purification and separation services to bolster its early stage development services.

As part of the deal, Onyx Scientific will be now able to offer custom separation for companies in drug discovery and intermediate environments. This includes chiral, reverse phase and normal phase chromatography using Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).

With MHRA and FDA licensed facilities in the UK and India, Onyx Scientific supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies from medicinal chemistry and preclinical through Phase I-III, scaling-up to large scale commercial API production.
